General Information

About AASC and the AGUAi

The Australasian GenStat Users' Association incorporated (AGUAi) exists to organise the biennial conference that attracts biometricians and statisticians working mainly in primary industries and environmental science research in Australia and New Zealand. The AGUAi is an independent, non-commercial, not-for profit, association. It maintains an informal relationship with the GenStat software. Anyone can become a member of the AGUAi by simply attending an AASC – there are no membership fees or other requirements.

Prior to the 2011 conference, the conference was known as the Australasian GenStat conference. However, at the 2008 conference in Victoria it was voted to broaden the focus of the conference and hence the conference has been renamed Australasian Applied Statistics conference (GenStat & ASReml). The second AASC is being organised by biometricians from the NZ biometrical community, with support from Plant & Food Research, New Zealand, where four of the local committee are based.
